GOVERNOR GREGIORE PLEDGES SUPPORT OF AAPP'S ACTION STRATEGY!
On September 7 th 2005, Washington State Governor Christine Gregiore met with African-American Partners For Prosperity (AAPP), to discuss ways that the Governor can assist AAPP with its mission to develop and promote sustainable wealth creation within the African-American business community. Dave Tyner co-founder and chairman praised the Governor's efforts in establishing an unprecedented African-American Cabinet (the largest in Washington State history) and requested the Governors assistance by partnering with AAPP in its efforts towards the successful integration of African-American owned business throughout the State. In 30-minute presentation, Tyner and Harris laid out an action strategy that included plans for hosting a first ever MBO-MBO Trade show developed by MBO's for MBO's and the establishment of a statewide web-based diagnostic tool to help individuals and businesses assess their strengths and weaknesses. Governor Gregiore pledged state agency support of these and other initiatives and stated that she was "really impressed with the level of planning and commitment of AAPP and its supporter."
