AAPP's Third Annual MBO Trade Conference: Partnering Works,
"Taking It To The Next Level." Outstanding Conference !
On behalf of our AAPP Chair, Dr. Andrew Harris and Board, we wish to
thank all of you for your attendance and sponsorship at the 3rd Annual
AAPP MBO Trade Conference. Indeed, we had attendees from Spokane and all
parts of the state. We allowed for 14 tables of 10 attendees and every
single table was filled from 10:45am until we broke for workshops from
1:15pm to 3:00pm. The surveys completed by those attending indicated a
very high level of satisfaction with the morning and afternoon programs
as well. The panel workshops were very dynamic with top level
information and educational information shared and discussed among panel
members and panel attendees. The focus was strictly on business, and we
kept it that way, all day.
We wish to note special thanks to speakers: Mayor Nickels, CEO
Yoshitani, POS, Bill McSherry, PSRC. Betty Wilkes, Washington Mutual, Robin Arnold Williams, DSHS, Steve Leahy, Seattle Chamber .our sincere thanks and appreciation for your remarks which were
highly rated by the surveys and attendees.
Special Note: We were advised just prior to the Conference that one of our
participating Engineering firms received a $2 Million contract from the
Port of Seattle as a result of networking contacts made at our Power
Lunch Program, April 2008. The networking was obviously very strong at
the conference, with folks making contacts....setting up meetings for
potential business !!! That is of course, the whole
idea..........business survial, growth and expansion by partnering and
working together.
We again thank and recognize our sponsors:
- US Navy
- Eli Lilly
- SAFECO
- EnterpriseSeattle
- Seattle Chamber of Commerce
- Washington State, CTED

We all know that it is the follow up that matters. We encourage everyone
attending to attend the Monthly Power Lunch Programs....June 13th, 2008
is the final one for this quarter. We skip the summer months and resume
in September 08 thru Nov 2008. The lunch program allows us to follow up
with each other, meet and network with old friends and contacts as well
as identify new networking opportunities. Thanks again to all
participating, attending and sponsoring...it was indeed an outstanding
conference !
Best to all,
AAPP Board of Directors
